The Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program (CCAP) is Connecticut's cycling development organization for youth and young adults. The CCAP believes that the sport of cycling teaches a child or young adult a wealth of values, social skills and mindsets that help them become successful in every aspect of their life. The CCAP is proud to provide kids in the Farmington Valley and across the state with the opportunity to participate in cycling in a safe and positive team-based environment.
The Farmington Valley Youth Cycling Team ( established spring 2018), is a proud member of the Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program. Boys and girls ages 9-18 are invited to register for road (spring/summer), cyclocross (fall/winter) and mountain bike (winter/spring) teams. Team focus is on developing riding and racing skills through teamwork, camaraderie and confidence building. Prior racing experience is NOT necessary.
Team practices are held at Rentschler Field, East Hartford, on the Farmington Valley Rail Trail, Winding Trails, and other locations. Learn more through their Facebook page, the CCAP or contact fvyouthcycling@gmail.com.
